Anthony Joshua secured a stunning KO victory over Francis Ngannou in their highly-anticipated clash in Saudi Arabia.
After months of build-up, the two heavyweight stars finally met inside the squared circle on Friday night at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
For Ngannou, a former UFC champion, this was just the second time he’s stepped foot inside the boxing ring following his narrow and controversial defeat to Tyson Fury via split decision in October.
Meanwhile, Joshua – who weighed in 20lbs lighter than his Cameroonian counter-part, had promised to bring ‘relentlessness’ to the bout in the Middle East.
And the British star certainly started with those intentions as he sent the former UFC champion crashing to the canvas in the first round of the bout, with a straight-right that caught Ngannou off guard.
Then, in the second round, ‘AJ’ then produced a stunning knockout that crumpled the Cameroonian and won the bout for the British star.
