Enyimba FC striker Junior Lokosa has emerged victorious in his case at the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber (DRC) against Libyan club Al Naser Zliten, with legal representation from PCN Sportiva LP securing the ruling in his favor.
The decision reaffirms that a player cannot waive entitlements for work already performed or future work under an employment contract.

In defending Lokosa’s rights, PCN Sportiva LP successfully argued that such a waiver would be legally invalid under Article 20(1) of the Swiss Code of Obligations (SCO).
The DRC concurred that a player cannot forfeit earnings for work already completed or yet to be done, as this would effectively force them to work without pay—an arrangement deemed immoral and unenforceable.
Additionally, a waiver of only outstanding wages, excluding future entitlements, would also be null and void, as the right to be paid for completed work is a fundamental legal protection under Article 341 SCO.
This ruling sets an important precedent for fair compensation in football contracts, reinforcing players’ rights to receive their due earnings.
