Al-Ahly of Egypt striker, Junior Oluwafemi Ajayi has stated delight with his return from injury and is optimistic that he will be able to make a bigger impact for his club now that he is back in action.
Sports247.ng reports that the 23-year-old former 36 Lion FC of Lagos, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan and CS Sfaxien of Tunisia attacker, is now looking for better days ahead of him.
Ajayi, who had been sidelined for five months after copping a knee ligament injury in a CAF Champions League clash against Simba FC of Tanzania, has already hit four goals in nine appearances since then.
His latest goal came in Ahly’s 3-1 win against Daklyeh in the Egyptian Premier League on Wednesday, taking his total haul to 25 goals in 81 matches for The Red Devils.
Ajayi’s effort on the night in midweek helped Ahly climb to 45 points from 20 league matches, and the Rio 2016 Olympics bronze medalist, who was part of Super Eagles squad for 2018 FIFA World Cup tune up friendlies against Poland and Serbia, is looking for more.
