The head coach of Premier League club West Ham United, Julen Lopetegui, is set to overhaul his squad with eight summer transfer signings to strengthen the team for the upcoming season.

Aiming to strengthen a number of positions, Lopetegui has determined that new left-backs, center-backs, and forwards are required. The Athletic reports that Taiwo Awoniyi has become the Hammers’ main target among the forwards.
Due to financial difficulties, Nottingham Forest is willing to let go of some players in order to balance its books. If a deal is reached, Awoniyi might be a vital player for Lopetegui, so they are willing to consider bids.
To convince Forest to part ways with the Nigerian striker, West Ham will need to put up a strong proposal.
