Segun Ajiroba, the team manager of Joy Cometh FC has lamented the level of officiating in the NNL insisting that he will take the matter to the league’s governing body.
This came after his side’s 1-1 draw at home to Abia Comets in the ongoing NNL campaign on Wednesday.
Ajiroba stated that poor officiating has been a common theme in the league and it’s high time the issue gets addressed by the authorities.
“The officiating was very bad and that has been the case in most matches,” he told Sports247 after the game at the Agege Stadium.
“But we can’t help ourselves, I will appeal to the NFF and the body that controls the NNL to do something. Let us know the true champion.”

He hopes to see changes before the second half of the season and he also praised the level of football in the country.
“We have very good teams and very good players in Nigeria but the issue of officiating should be looked into.
“And I know by the time we write a petition before the start of the second phase of the league everything will be alright,” he said.
