In a recent interview with Sports 247, Bomen shared her enriching experience as a volunteer. “So far, it’s been nice, it’s been fun. I am loving the experience because I am getting to meet other African people. We are getting to know more about them,” she said.

Bomen’s volunteering journey at the AAG has been a learning experience, not just in terms of event management, but also in cultural exchange. She mentioned, “We heard stories about other people being hostile and violent but getting to meet them physically, you get to know more about their personalities and discover that the stories are different.”

Interestingly, Bomen’s interaction with French-speaking participants has motivated her to learn French. “I am getting to learn more, I do not speak French but as I am meeting some French people, I need to polish my French and learn it,” she added.

Bomen’s experience at the AAG has been so positive that she is eager to volunteer for future events. She said, “I am having a whole new experience and would definitely want to volunteer in another event.” She was inspired by her friend Philip, who had volunteered at another event. “I don’t regret the experience one bit,” she concluded.
