Boxing legend, Oscar De La Hoya has rated Nigerian-born British world heavyweight champion, Anthony Olaseni Joshua as the best in his class for now.
In spite of a recent spat by American rival, Deontay Wilder that he is the bet of the heavyweights, sports247.ng gathered that de la Hoya thinks differently.
He put his vote on Joshua, while sharing his his views on a number of topical boxing issues at the top and MMA agenda.
The Golden Boy Promotions boss stressed that Joshua is still top of the pile despite Tyson Fury’s draw with Wilder capturing global attention.
He declared: “I think Joshua is the best in the heavyweight division. After watching Wilder and Fury, I have mad respect for them.
“These guys were throwing bombs, I mean come on, Fury goes down, the referee is counting him out and all of a sudden you see this Undertaker get up. The gatekeeper there in that division is Anthony Joshua.”
