Nigerian-born British world boxing heavyweight champion, Anthony Olaseni Oluwafemi Joshua has received a strong warning that he is in for a beating on June 1, as American challenger, Jarell Miller (Big Baby) says ‘AJ’ is simply overrated, sports247.ng reports.
Joshua will fight for the first time on American soil in his carer, and Miller aims to make the best opf ‘home advantage’ to make a point at Madison Square Garden, where he believes he will reign supreme.
Joshua will defend his WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO world titles against the American pugilist in New York on June 1, ahead of which Miller, who is unbeaten at 23-0-1 (20 KOs) is already talking tough.
Miller, who weighs more than 300 pounds, believes he can jolly well handle ‘AJ,’ who had been targeting a Wembley Stadium showdown against Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury or Dillian Whyte – but was unable to reach an agreement with any of the trio.
Now, Joshua will make his debut in the United States against Miller, the 22 stone brash Brooklyn native, who is unbeaten in 24 fights but he has never fought for a world title.
The 30-year-old has a reputation for being a trash-talker and is already trying to get under Joshua’s skin ahead of their summer showdown.
He posted on Twitter: “Now it’s TIME Tell AJ take all the humble s*** put on ice cream cone and shove we’re sun don’t shine you Sweet and low Barbie doll (sic).
