Nigerian sprinters Joshua Caleb and Olaolu Olatunde put up commendable performances in the men’s 60m final at the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships in Indianapolis, with Caleb finishing fourth in 6.70s and Olatunde placing sixth in 6.74s.
The race was won by Andre Morrison, who stormed to victory in a Personal Best (PB) of 6.59s, securing the NCAA DII title in style.

Caleb, who had been in fine form leading up to the championship, delivered a solid race but narrowly missed out on a podium finish. Olatunde, on the other hand, also showed strong composure in a highly competitive field.
The result marks a significant milestone for both sprinters as they continue their development on the collegiate circuit. Their performances reinforce the growing presence of Nigerian athletes in NCAA competitions, with promising prospects for the outdoor season ahead.
