Super Falcons attacker, Rasheedat Ajibade has expressed delight towards signing for Athletico Madrid Femenino, saying that it was an opportunity she will never take for granted.
The Former Super falconet’s forward has signed a two-year deal with the Spanish Female side on Friday, after completing her contract with Norwegian Toppserien club, Avaldsnes.
Ajibade moved to the female Norwegian club side from Robo Queens in Nigeria in 2018 and she was a key part of the team.
In a Chat with Sports 247, after signing for Athletico Madrid Femenino, the 21 year Old expressed happiness in joining her new side, saying it was a privilege and joy to her, as this is an opportunity she would never take for granted.
“It is a great privilege and joy for me to be joining Athletico Madrid Ferminino. It is an opportunity I will never take for granted, and I am ready to give all to push this great club to even greater heights”, she admitted.
Rasheedat Ajibade who won the African Women Championship enjoyed a great season with Avaldsnes in the last campaign in 2020, where she scored seven goals and was named in the team of the season.
The Amazing forward also scored 12 goals in 39 games played for Avaldsnes and she is expected to be a big hit for Athletico Madrid Femenino.
