Nigeria’s African Boxing Union (ABU) lightweight champion, Oto ‘Joe Boy’ Joseph has vowed to whip, Ghanaian challenger, Anama Dotse, when they clash on October 14 at Teslim Balogun, Surulere, Lagos.
The undercards will also feature nine bouts across different weight divisions, the highest number since the show began in November 2014.
The headline fight is the West African Boxing Union lightweight title clash between Rilwan ‘Real One’ Oladosu of Nigeria and Ghana’s Benjamin Lamptey.
Also scheduled is the national light heavyweight title bout between Kabiru Towolawi and Adewale Masebinu, while the featherweight class will see Waidi Usman in a rematch with Chibuzor Obi.
The lightweight international challenge bout will be one of two international contests scheduled for the night, ahead of which ‘Joe Boy’ said he is in good shape and ready to make his opponent suffer.
The ABU champ said: “I am in the best shape possible. This is a bad omen for Dotse, who should know that Nigeria is superior to Ghana in every way.
“I will prove that superiority by battering his face. His face is smooth because he has been meeting soft opponents. That will end (on October 14).”
