Joe Aribo Bids Emotional Farewell To Rangers Ahead Of Premier League Move

Super Eagles midfielder, Joe Aribo has sent an emotional farewell message to the management and fans of Scottish Premiership giants, Ranger F.C ahead of a £10m move to Premier League with Southampton F.C

Aribo refused to extend his contract with Glasgow Rangers but opted for a move to the Saints Mary Stadium, where he successfully passed his medical yesterday afternoon and is expected to be officially unveiled as a new Southampton player in the coming days.

In an emotional message posted on the player’s Instagram page on Saturday evening, Aribo disclosed he is excited to be part of the great club and that Rangers will forever have a special place in his heart.

He also appreciated the management, players, and everyone at the club for their full support and the wonderful memories they created together.

“It’s been an amazing journey being part of this special club. I hold@rangersfc very close to my heart as they gave me the opportunity to showcase my talent on a bigger stage. Playing at Ibrox was a dream & I’m glad I got to experience it. I’m glad I was able to play a part in the historic 55 league winning season. I’d like to thank everyone associated with this great club for all you’ve done for me during my time here, you’ve always made me feel welcome & I’ve had your full support. I’ve developed into an even better player, credit to the supporters who have always had my back and stayed patient during the tough times. We created a lot of memories together, memories that I will carry with me throughout the rest of my career. I wish the club nothing but the best for the future& I’ll always be checking in Joe Aribo.”

The 25-year-old joined Glasgow Rangers from Charlton Athletic in 2019 and went ahead to make 57 appearances at the Ibrox Stadium, scoring nine times and recording 10 assists.

Aribo had a successful stint in Scotland, winning the Scottish Premiership, and the Scottish Cup and finishing second with his team in the 2021/2022 UEFA Europa League campaign.
