Job Title: Legal Officer (Trainee)

Job Description

S/he will provide in-house legal advisory services; compliance and risk mitigation support services through the assessment and development of effective corporate/legal structure.
S/he will serve as a Liaison between WEWE Management and the WEWE Board of Trustees.
S/he will be responsible for all communications and correspondences between WEWE and the Board of Trustees as well as carry out such tasks as may be assigned by the WEWE Board of Trustees.
S/he will manage WEWE’s Litigation Portfolio and liaise with external solicitors to defend the interests of WEWE.
S/he will provide legal advisory services to WEWE Management and develop legal strategies to defend the interests of WEWE.
S/he will conduct legal risk analyses and evaluations of WEWE activities, documentation, and commitments and suggest risk mitigation strategies.
S/he will be accountable for taking day-to-day legal responsibilities and providing legal advice that includes all the aspects of the analysis, investigation, and drafting process.
S/he will be engaged in helping to analyze and collect evidence and schedule staff hearings.
S/he will conduct legal analysis and research on any legal matters of the organization.

Requirements

Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Associate – COVID-19 USAID MOMENTUM Routine Immunization Transformation and Equity Project

Responsibilities

Capture COVID-19 vaccine data on available databases for analysis and reporting.
Compile and submit weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for the COVID-19 vaccine project as per agreed reporting parameters to management.
Work with Senior MEL Advisor to ensure effective monitoring and reporting of all planned COVID-19 vaccine interventions.
Conduct monthly data verifications to ensure accuracy and completion and produce the data verification report.
Follow up all identified data verification gaps for closure with support from project management.
Ensure adequate supply of data collection and reporting tools at COVID-19 vaccine support sites.
Support capacity building initiatives and activities conducted by the M & E Unit.
Monitor and keep track of the number of people trained on various COVID-19 vaccine initiatives.
Ensure proper filing of incoming and outgoing COVID-19 vaccine M&E documents.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degre / Diploma in Health Sciences or related field.
Working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures with program design.
2-5 years’ experience with public health program management
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to problem solve and recommend corrective action as needed.
Strong organizational capacity and attention to detail needed to adhere to project deadlines.
Project Management (PM) Certification or equivalent preferred.
Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive fashion with clients and staff.
Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English; fluent in local language as appropriate.
Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO), government agency, or private organization.
Has sensitivity to cultural diversity and understanding of the political, contextual, and ethical issues in assigned areas.
Work experience in COVID-19 interventions will be an advantage.
Proficiency with database management software and online search tools required.
