Newly appointed Kwara state commissioner for Sports and Youths development Joana Nnazua Kolo has thanked Governor Abdulrahman for the faith he has in her over her recent appointment.
On Friday, December 13, Miss Joana Nnazua Kolo was sworn in as the new commissioner for Sports in Kwara state by the executive Governor of the State of Harmony.
Joana Nnazua Kolo however becomes the youngest commissioner in the history of Kwara state and also the second female Sports commissioner in the state.
Alhaja Abaya was the first ever female Sports commissioner in Kwara state and she served under former Governor Alhaji Abudulfatah Ahmed.
“I want to express my gratitude to our indefatigable Governor for the confidence he reposed in me to serve as one of his cabinet members.
“I promise to discharge my duty diligently and not to let our youth folks down,” Joana Nnazua Kolo explained.
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old graduate of Library and information science replaces Mr Alalade who was the immediate past Sports Commissioner.
Joana Nnazua Kolo is expected to be on ground on Sunday to watch the NPFL encounter between Kwara United and Heartland at the Ilorin Township stadium.
The management of Kwara United have also decided to throw the gate open for fans in honor of the new Sports Commissioner.
