Nigerian top scrabble player, Wellington Jighere has expressed worries over his ability to raise money for a trip to London to take part in the forthcoming World Scrabble Championship.
With just over two weeks to the global championship in London, where Jighere hopes to defend his world title successfully, he denied having any problems in procuring a UK visa.
Rather than face challenges of procuring an entry visa to travel out to the tournament, Jighere stressed that the only obstacle is getting necessary funds to make the trip.
Jighere told sports247.ng: “My worries are not about getting British visa for the trip, the real issue that could be a challenge for us is the availability of enough money to all the intending competitors.”
