Iyinoluwa Laditan, the Founder and CEO of Hoopdreams, shed light on the organization’s mission and the driving force behind its participation in the Kidsport Charity Cup.
Hoopdreams, a basketball organization founded in 2022, has swiftly become immersed in the basketball culture, comprising individuals passionate about the sport.

Despite their day jobs, the members are dedicated to playing basketball and contributing to the growth of the sport in Nigeria.
Laditan explained, “Hoopdreams started out because we wanted to do more. To create a platform that we could feel proud as basketballers.”
The organization began organizing activities, friendly games, and competitions, gaining recognition and making a significant impact on the basketball scene in Nigeria.
“We are getting a lot of publicity, bringing exposure to the game, which is our primary mission,” he added in an interview with Sports247.
The long-term goal of Hoopdreams is to elevate basketball in Nigeria, create awareness, and establish a platform where talented players can showcase their skills to international scouts.

Laditan expressed the aspiration to develop a sustainable system where Nigerians can play and earn from basketball, emphasizing the need for support to achieve these objectives.
As part of their strategic partnerships, Hoopdreams joined forces with KingMakers, and the Kidsport Charity Cup.
Laditan shared some of the organization’s initiatives, stating, “Some of our goals are to develop the sport in Nigeria.
We go to communities where we see basketball being played and try to spotlight the talents we see there. We set up different competitions where we gather basketball players from all over the place and let the best compete amongst themselves.”
Regarding the partnership with the Kidsport Charity Cup, Laditan highlighted the synergy between the two organizations, emphasizing the importance of introducing basketball alongside football in the sporting ecosystem.
He mentioned the positive impact of providing a platform for communities to engage in both sports and for talented individuals to choose their preferred participation.
“We would bring a lot of basketball excitement to the event,” Laditan affirmed, expressing the long-term commitment of Hoopdreams to initiatives that align with their vision and contribute to the growth of basketball in Nigeria.
