Arsenal of England attacker, Alex Iwobi has won fresh words of praise from his club’s manager, Unai Emery, who says he is impressed with the Super Eagles’ star’s good attitude, commitment, calm comportment and tactical acumen during matches.
Emery recounted that Iwobi came under fire from The Gunners’ fans, following his lax performance in the 3-1 loss to Manchester City, but the Spanish gaffer says the lad’s ability to bounce back shows a lot about his abilities.
However, while Emery expressed delight with Iwobi’s performance in Saturday’s 2-1 win at Huddersfield Town, the former Sevilla of Spain gaffer added that there is still room for improvement.
Emery enthused: “He needs to improve something tactically, maybe, but above all he’s calm with the ball in the attacking third.
“(He tries) to find better assists, finding the possibility to score with composure, or find the best option, whether shooting or dribbling.
“He’s young, makes a big commitment and he has a good physical condition.
“He scored, got another very good chance and the possibility to assist (Alexandre) Lacazette, but I think his match – first starting with his attitude – was very big, and his performance was very good.”
