Egypt’s men’s table tennis team stormed into the final of the ITTF Africa Championships after overpowering defending champions Nigeria 3-0 in a dominant semi-final display.
The Egyptians, led by their experienced stars, showed precision and power throughout the encounter, leaving no room for a Nigerian comeback.

The victory sends Egypt into yet another continental final, where they will face Algeria, who reached the championship match for the second consecutive year.
The Algerians sealed their spot with a hard-fought 3-1 triumph over Morocco, thanks to standout performances from Mehdi Bouloussa and his teammates.
The stage is now set for an explosive all-North African men’s final as Egypt aims to reclaim the crown, while Algeria seeks to make history by lifting the title.
In the women’s category, Uganda pulled off one of the biggest shocks of the tournament.
The Ugandan trio of Judith Nangonzi, Jemimah Nakawala, and Mirembe Judith produced a spirited display to defeat Nigeria 3-1 in the semi-finals, after earlier eliminating Tunisia in the quarter-finals.
With their fearless run, Uganda will now contest the women’s team final, marking a remarkable milestone in their rise on the continental stage.
