For the first time in the tournament’s history, ITTF Africa has announced corporate partners and usher in individual awards, Sports247 reports.
The table tennis continental body ITTF-Africa strategically has position itself to celebrates individual excellence in the tournament schedule to begin in Tunis on Tuesday, 25 February 2025.
According to a release by the body, there will be ValueJet Player of the Day in the Male Female class.
The award will be given to players who deliver outstanding performances on each matchday starting from the knockout stage sponsor by ValueJet
There is also be Ethiopian Holiday Most Improved Player of the Tournament for both Male and Female.
The award will Recognize rising stars and new talents who make a significant impact at the event and it is sponsor by Ethiopian Airlines Holiday
In similar vein, the Stag Fair Play Award will be awarded in both Male or Female categories.
This award is for the player who best demonstrates sportsmanship and fairness throughout the tournament, ably sponsor by Stag
With this new partnership, ITTF Africa believes the awards will elevate player recognition and enhance sponsors’ engagement with the events.
The competition will serve a two purpose of crowning Africa’s best in the game as well qualifier for the world championship in all categories
