“It’s Been A Success Completing The Second Season,” TCC Director Akinyelu Olajide

The second edition of The Creative Championship Cup 2022 League and Cup season has come to a full close after about 4-5 month and it has been described as a success by the organizers.

Beyond Limits Football Academy were crowned league champions after a dominating performance and Dino Sporting Club won the cup defeating Beyond Limits 2-1 at the Remo Stadium, Ogun State.

TCC Director, Akinyelu Olajide described the season as being successful without a hitch.

“For us at TCC, it’s a huge success completing the second season without any hitch. Being able to get support from sponsors, growing brand business and the league while achieving some of our set out objectives,” Olajide told Sports247.

“Our appreciation goes to the ten member clubs because without them, their staffs and players, there will be no TCC and excitement for fans to look forward to.”

“To our sponsors, Bet9ja, ValueJet and Optima Energy, they supported the league, enabling us to do more and we appreciate them. We also appreciate our key partners, the referees who without them being diligent in their job, we won’t have had a good season, there have been improvements in their performances from last season and every team is comfortable playing anywhere because of them,” he added.

He also appreciated the Lagos State Football Association and the Ogun State Football Association as all the league games were played at venues across these two states which lead to a wider fans reach for the league while also appreciating all media houses like Channels TV, Africa Sport On and Naija Made, Top Radio and others for their constant support for the league.

“There were doubts from people that this league won’t last beyond the first season when we started but here we are, second season done and we’re looking forward to the third season. We’re growing stronger, the competition is bigger, officiating has improved and we’ll take all these positives away,” Olajide said as regards positives to take away from the league this season.

Looking forward to the next season he said, “in as much as we’ve done so well for ourselves, we know we haven’t yet scratched what we want to achieve and we won’t rest on our oars and we will do more so expect a bigger and better third TCC season,” he concluded.
