Founder of Ajuwa Football Academy, Binary Ajuwa has laid bare the idea behind his club’s partnership with Spanish outfit Real Oviedo which has seen a number of players transferred from the Lagos-based side to Spain over the last few weeks.
Ajuwa FA officially announced their partnership with the Spanish Segunda Division club last month.
Speaking on the development, Bina Ajuwa expressed his pleasure and said there is more to come. The former Nigerian international told Sports247:
“I feel great because when I first traveled outside [Nigeria] I did not play the Nigerian Premier League. I traveled while playing for an academy side by then.
“It’s a privilege that we have this opportunity to give to these young ones. Five players have already been sent to Real Oviedo. We are going to take one later. There is more to come. We are planning to take more players that is why we are here.”
Ajuwa also revealed that players from other clubs would benefit from the partnership.
“Our foreign recruiter from Real Oviedo is here. He wants to see other players. Like I said before it’s not just players from our team. He wants to take players from other teams as well, that’s why we organize this friendly game [with Broad City FC]. I believe he has seen one or two players. He’s going to let me know later.” he concluded.
