Majekodunmi highlighted the importance of his presence with the team, stating, “It is good to always be around the team. My life is all about football, the beautiful game.”
With Nigeria needing a victory to secure qualification, Majekodunmi urged the Super Eagles to stay focused. “This is a crucial game,” he noted. “Nigeria remains a strong nation when it comes to football, and it is our duty as the executives to ensure that we bring back the glory days.”
Majekodunmi acknowledged the team’s challenges but expressed confidence in their potential, saying, “We had our shortcomings, but we are good to go. It is victory for us today. We believe in this team.” He also emphasized his trust in the technical crew and players, adding that his interactions with them the previous night revealed strong determination and a positive team spirit.
The Super Eagles are set to face Benin Republic, a team known for its resilience, but Majekodunmi remains optimistic. He stressed that the NFF is committed to supporting the team as they aim to secure their place in the 2025 AFCON tournament.
“This match is important for our country’s football future, and we believe in both the players and the technical team to get the job done,” Majekodunmi concluded.
