Israel Oluwashemilore Eyes Japan, Chance To Emulate Cristiano Ronaldo, After Dazzling With AYICRIP-NELIS Academy

AYICRIP-NELIS Football Academy of Lagos youngster, Joju Israel Oluwashemilore says he is thinking about making a move to Japan and get a huge opportunity to emulate his role model, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Oluwashemilore disclosed as much in an interview with Sports247 a few minutes after scoring during an exhibition match for his team, and in front of a football scout from Japan.

Although Shemilore’s side lost the showcase game 8-1 at Legacy Pitch of Lagos National Stadium in Surulere, and he admitted it was tough for everyine in his team, the top striker told Sports247 afterwards that he was satisfied with his own personal performance in the game.

Oluwashemilore stated, “The game was okay. I love how everything went well for me, but I feel bad that we lost. I don’t know what happened that we could not convert all the chances we created.

At a point in the game, my head was so full, and I didn’t know what happened that we could not score from all our chances. My head was so full, and I didn’t know what to do again.”

He then expressed optimism that his individual display in the game would have excited the scout in order to open up a move for him to Japan, so that he would be able to begin his journey towards emulating Ronaldo.

“I hope that I will be among the players who the scout will take to Japan. Yes, of course, that’s my hope; so that I can start making waves like my role model, Ronaldo.

I believe he is better than (Lionel) Messi, because he is already full of everything … leg, head, speed, fitness, the whole body. He has everything. I also want to be able to use my right leg powerfully like he does with his. I’ll get to his level and even beyond, by God’s grace,” Oluwashemilore concluded with a prayer.
