Speaking about the tournament’s progress with Sports247, Alinta noted, “I can confirm that today, the games came back to life, with the teams that lost last week bouncing back. Currently, on the table, we have teams with 1, 2, 3, and 4 points, so the excitement is just beginning.”
The tournament’s opening game witnessed an impressive nine goals scored, while the second week’s matches saw only two goals. Alinta was asked whether changes had been made to reinforce defences in the competition.
He responded, “You know, the first game resulted in some players sustaining injuries. Many players across all the teams are currently nursing injuries, and they have reinforced their defences, including strikers who are now playing defensively. This has contributed to a goal drought.

It indicates better preparation. The first game was more spontaneous, but in the second week, the teams studied their opponents, adopted a more tactical approach, and focused on defence. Consequently, we witnessed balanced games.
The officiating, although not perfect, was notably mature and professional. It’s common for people to voice complaints when they lose; nobody likes losing, especially in football. However, overall, it’s been an excellent tournament, and we are content with the outcomes of the matches.”
