Nigerian midfielder Ishaq Abdulrazak has joined Belgian club, Anderlecht on a four-year deal from Swedish side, IFK Norrköping where he appeared 37 times and scored twice, Sports247 can confirm.
The completion of the transfer of the 20-year-old Kaduna-born player was confirmed in a post on Anderlecht’s official website where the player stated that he is proud to be entering the next phase of his career.
“This is a big step up for me, one that I’m very proud of. I want to prove my worth to the team as soon as possible and I am looking forward to meeting my teammates and the fans,”’he said.
The club’s Chief Executive Officer, Peter Verbeke disclosed that he is excited with the acquisition of the player.
“We have been following Ishaq for quite a while and we are very happy that we can add him to the group now,”Verbeke stated.
“Ishaq has a lot of physical qualities; he is fast, agile, has volume and plays with aggressiveness. On the other hand, he also has a lot of technical abilities, which makes him a versatile player.”
Ishaq Abdulrazak is the ‘Purple & White’ first signing of the transfer window.
