Anderlecht have completed the signing of Nigerian midfielder Ishaq Abdulrazak on a four-year contract. The 20-year-old was signed from IFK Norrköping in a deal worth €4.5m. Abdulrazak will wear the no. 24 jersey at Anderlecht.
“The first summer transfer is here. RSC Anderlecht have reached an agreement with Swedish club Norrköping concerning the definitive transfer of Ishaq Abdulrazak. He signs a contract for 4 seasons at our club,” an official announcement from Anderlecht reads.
Abdulrazak joined Norrköping from Kaduna-based Unity Academy as an 18-year-old in 2020. He made 61 total appearances for the club in his two years stint there. The youngster has described his move to Anderlecht as a big step up for him. He said on his unveiling:
“This is a big step up for me, one that I’m very proud of. I want to prove my worth to the team as soon as possible and I am looking forward to meeting my teammates and the fans.”
Anderlecht CEO Peter Verbeke, expressed his excitement to have finalized the signing of Abdulrazak while also singing his praises.
“We have been following Ishaq for quite a while and we are very happy that we can add him to the group now,” Verbeke said.
“Ishaq has a lot of physical qualities; he is fast, agile, has volume and plays with aggressiveness. On the other hand, he also has a lot of technical abilities, which makes him a versatile player.”
