Is Samuel Chukwueze About to Earn a Big Money Move to the Premier League?

There’s no doubt that Samuel Chukwueze is one of the hottest Nigerian talents of his generation, and it could now be time for the 25-year-old to take the next step to the Premier League.

Playing in the toughest league in the world will be excellent for his development and could transform him into a world beater.

The pacey winger has attracted a lot of interest from clubs in England’s top flight, and a summer move could be on the cards. However, he will need to consider his options carefully to ensure that any move is right for his career trajectory.

Arsenal Reportedly Interested in Player

It was recently reported that Arsenal may be looking to bring in Chukwueze to add some extra options for Mikel Arteta on the wings. There was talk of potentially swooping for the Nigerian in the January transfer window, but this ultimately didn’t come to fruition. However, the Gunners may be tempted to revisit the deal in the summer, as Arteta’s strategy relies on exceptional quality down the flanks.

Arsenal began the 2024-25 Premier League campaign as one of the favorites in the betting markets, with the best betting site in Nigeria originally rating their chances of winning better than Liverpool’s before a ball was kicked.

Now, the Reds are odds-on to win the title, and Arsenal’s strong start to the campaign fell away.

A lot of that was to do with the loss of Bukayo Saka through injury. The Englishman has been so pivotal to the Gunners’ success in recent seasons, and losing him was a huge blow to Arteta. Signing Chukwueze could make up this loss next season, and provide competition for Saka down the right flank.

A Mid-Table Club Could Guarantee More Minutes

Moving to Arsenal would be the dream switch for any player, and there’s a good chance that Chukwueze would jump at the opportunity. However, it may make sense for the AC Milan player to choose a different club as a stepping stone for the next stage of his development.

If he were to move to Arsenal, he’d be playing second fiddle to Saka, which would mean he’d spend a lot of the time on the bench. There have been reports that other clubs in the Premier League have been thinking about enticing Chukwueze away from Serie A. Fulham were in talks with Milan about signing the player in January, but the two clubs never reached an agreement.

The London club have established themselves as a solid mid-table side in recent seasons, and this move could be ideal for Chukwueze. He’d most likely be a regular starter for a club like that, meaning he’d get the necessary minutes to continue his development.

Of course, Chukwueze doesn’t have to move clubs at all. He may be happy to play another season at Milan and hone his craft in Serie A. That option could make him a more complete player, and when top clubs come knocking in a year’s time, he may immediately step in as a firm starter.
