Ahead of Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Nigeria and South Africa, former Super Eagles defender, Ben Iroha has advised the current set of lads in the steam to play like a unit in the encounter.
Iroha said in a chat with sports247.ng that the Eagles must allow togetherness, unity and compact play be the mark of their performance in Johannesburg, if they want to get anything positive from the game.
‘Salinsa’ added that the players must put aside individual play and trying to show off, because he believes only a serious approach to the game will see them through to victory.
Iroha stressed: “They must not allow personal interest or individual skills affect their rhythm in Saturday’s match against South Africa.
“If they play only to impress then the goal of avenging the defeat in the hands of Bafana Bafana last year in the first leg will not be realized.”
