The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, mauled the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, 4-0, at the ongoing 2nd edition of the Governor Abdullahi Sule Inter-Security Agencies Unity Cup Football Tournament held at the Lafia City Stadium.

Saturday’s rescheduled game saw the NSCDC commanding the first-half by 3-0 through Mohammed Ahmad who netted a brace in the 17th and 29th minutes and Aminu Rabo in the 32nd minute, respectively.
Bello Alhassan put matters to rest when he struck NSCDC’s fourth goal in the 60th minute.
The result catapulted the Civil Defence team to first position in the Group B standings with seven points with a game to spare, whereas the NDLEA dropped to 3rd position with six points.
In the other Group ‘B’ match, the Nigerian Army relied on the 33rd-minute penalty goal by Zubairu Adamu to eliminate the Department of State Service, DSS, from the tournament, as the game ended 1-0 in favour of the military side who are now 2nd with six points but more goals’ advantage.
With a last Group game to play for pride on Monday, DSS has yet to earn any points since the beginning of the tournament.
