The coach who affirmed that football teams in Lagos now struggle to get venues for their matches appealed to the Lagos State Government and football stakeholders to make more match venues available for Lagos-based teams competing in professional leagues.

The unavailability of match venues has hindered the performance of teams in Lagos, according to Coach Gabriel. He emphasized the need for a lasting solution to this problem.

“All Lagos-based teams, including Inter-Lagos, are struggling to secure match venues,” Coach Gabriel said. “Every team participating in the Nigeria National League (NNL) desires more venues to play their games.”

Coach Gabriel called on the government and stakeholders to provide additional stadiums, highlighting the importance of the Agege Stadium.

“We hope the Lagos State Government and stakeholders will make more match venues available for our games,” he said.

“The availability of more venues will enable teams to practice and play league games more easily. We look forward to the stakeholders making more stadiums available in Lagos State.”

Currently, the Mobolaji Johnson Arena is the only available stadium for professional teams in Lagos State, as the Teslim Balogun Stadium and Agege Stadium have been under renovation for over a year.
