The President of Rotary Club Of Ikeja Alausa, Rotarian Tonna Beatrice Oguzie Ofuasia has joined her voice with millions of Nigerians to celebrate the Flamingos big win against USA to break the quarter final jinx as they advance to thier first ever semi finals of the 2022 U-17 World Cup tournament.
The Imaginative President admitted that the clash glued her to the TV set for the entire duration of the game even though she’s isn’t a staunch football fan but the Nigerian clash made her sit to watch as the Under-17 women’s team qualified for the Semi final of the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup, putting behind the agonies of many years of struggles and failures.
“I was shouting and shaky during the penalty shoot out, so happy this is happening to us and I’m joining my female rotarian to celebrate our girls for doing us proud.”
“In Rotary, this year happens to be a year for women, for the ladies, girls and that’s why we are shouting and jumping at the victory.”
“I want to congratulate the girls and I wish them that they are not just stopping here, that trophy will be hosted in our club,” she enthusiastically said.
