Shooting Stars goalkeeper trainer, John Dosu has lauded Coach Bankole Olowookere’s efforts in stamping his print and qualities on the team hailing him as a good coach who knows what he is doing following the team’s victory against USA in the U-17 World Cup games in India as he remains optimistic the ladies can win the trophy.
The NIgeria Under-17 women’s team qualified for their first ever Semi final of the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup in the history of Nigeria and the tournament putting behind the agonies of many years of struggles and failures, Sports247.ng reports.
“He’s a good coach, I give it to him, for him to make the World Cup semi finals stage, he has made us proud,” Dosu admitted.
“The goalkeeper was fantastic, great save during the penalty shoot out. I think we can go all the way and bring the cup down to Nigeria.”
“We are going all the way to win because the girls are determined to win the tournament and it will be a good history for them. I wish them the best of luck,” he concluded.
