The LAB Memorial Football competition final saw Right Choice Vision FA clinched the championship title with a 1-0 victory over Mighty Stars FC.
The triumphant team’s captain, Jubril Abdulaziz, was not part of last year’s tournament due to an injury.
However, this year, he led his team to a glorious victory.
Abdulaziz shared his feelings about the win, “I don’t think there’s one word that can describe it.
We put in a lot of work. Our work rate increased. We are very determined to come to this competition to show the world that we can do better than what we did last year and which we actually proved to everybody.”
The journey to the championship was not easy. The team took each game one at a time, giving maximum respect to every opponent.
Despite the challenges, Abdulaziz described the experience as interesting and ultimately rewarding.
Reflecting on the lessons from this tournament, Abdulaziz said,
“For me personally, I think I gained more knowledge, more confidence and just to work more on my ability.
This tournament taught me a lot. Like, I need to do more because in every situation, there’s always a champion.
For you to become a champion, you have to beat the champion.”
Abdulaziz’s words resonate with the spirit of sportsmanship and determination.
His message to his teammates and other aspiring players is clear – keep working hard, stay focused, be determined, and always aim to win.
This victory has indeed proven that Right Choice Vision FA is a team to watch out for in future tournaments.
