Super Falcons striker Monday Gift has emphasized that she is always ready to represent Nigeria anytime she’s called up after a fantastic outing at the Nigeria Women’s Football League Super Six tournament in Edo.
The Robo Queens striker, on loan to Bayelsa Queens, helped the Bayelsa ladies clinch the NWFL 2022 season title while also picking up the players of the season and the top scorer award for the league.
“It’s all grace really,” Gift told Sports247. “I’m grateful to my coaches for the good work they put in and also my teammates. I also put in a lot of work and my teammates supported me immensely and I’m grateful,” she said.
Monday Gift scored ten goals in the five super six games and thirteen in total for the season, helping Bayelsa Queens win all their games but the striker was exempted from the Super Falcons provisional list for the AWCON in Morocco.
“I’ll like to leave it the way it is. It’s always a privilege to represent Nigeria in any competition and I’m always willing and ready to do my best,” Gift added.
