The hardworking chairman of Anambra State Football Association Gen. Chikelue Iloenyosi has been recognized as the football administrator of the year by the Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS) for his outstanding contribution to community development through football. This event happened at the ABS compound on Wednesday 14th December 2022.
The Award ceremony was part of the yearly Christmas activities of the state owned station to recognize outstanding Anambrarians for their community development contribution in the state. Iloenyosi was recognized as well as top politicians, captains of industries and heads of corporate organizations in the state.
The Anambra state commissioner for Information Mr Paul Nwosu presented the award and appreciated General Adeleke for his outstanding contribution in football and urged him to keep on keeping on. The capacity Chairman after receiving the award thanked the ABS for this special recognition and promised to do more for football in the state.
“I am really happy to receive this special award today from ABS, just last week I was given another award in Lagos for this same reason as a good football administrator. That shows that the work myself and team have done within the 4 months we took over has been appreciated and recognized. We will keep on keeping on as I dedicate this award to Anambra State football legends that have passed on of whom we did a memorial service in their names few weeks ago. Thank you all once more and happy Christmas in advance.”
The Chairman had in his entourage the Acting Secretary of Anambra FA Raph Nweke, about 8 LFC Chairmen, Staff of the FA and so many other well-wishers that made the day. There were Christmas songs and Carol of 9 lessons to thrill the participants by invited choirs.
