The much anticipated Ikorodu Divisional Football League kicks off on Friday across the various centers.
Ten teams are expected to take part in the league which organized by Ikorodu Divisional Football Association led by Lookman Sonibare.
Ultimate Villa Football Club would be at home against Makbet Football Club on Friday at Police Barrack playground, Igbogbo, Ikorodu, Lagos.
The encounter is the talk of the town as both teams have football pedigree in Ikorodu town. Ultimate Villa would be looking forward to victory at home, while Makbet would also play to avoid early defeat.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Ultimate Villa coach, Ogunbunmi Abolore told sports 247.ng that his team are in top form for their opponents saying that he is looking forward to home victory.
“This is a league and i am looking forward for a better result. We respect our opponents because of their football history in Ikorodu but playing against us on Friday would be a tough game and i am optimistic that my team would triumph, “he said.
Abolore said his team have engaged in series of friendly matches and he is satisfied with the performance of the team.
He however urged the organizers to give all the teams level playing ground and called for better officiating in all centers.
