Sports247.ng reports that The Oga Boys’ gaffer pointed out that losing is part of football, but admitted it would have been a better result had his players not lost concentration at crucial points of both halves.

Nurudeen Aweroro recounted, “We had loss of concentration towards the end of the first half, and it happened again in the second half. I don’t know why it was like that. At least, if we can’t score ahead of the opponent. We ought to defend our goal. We need to work more on our defence line and see how we can adjust.”

He also parried permutations that the result could demoralise the squad and lead to a round of poor results in their forthcoming fixtures of the unfolding NPFL season.

“It can’t affect the mood of our boys, and it can’t affect the team because it’s part of the game. We already knew this could be part of the matches we were going to lose this season. That’s what I believe about this result, but we’ll go back home and rectify our problem. That way, we’ll get it right and do better next time,” Aweroro enthused.
