Ikorodu City has officially completed the signing of goalkeeper James Faith from Inter Lagos, securing his services for their inaugural season in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The 23-year-old shot-stopper, known for his sharp reflexes and commanding presence in goal, has signed a two-year deal with the newly-promoted club.

Faith’s arrival at Ikorodu City is particularly significant given his history with the Oga Boys. Last season, he faced Ikorodu City five times across three different competitions while playing for Inter Lagos in the Nigeria National League (NNL).
His performances in these encounters were nothing short of exceptional, consistently thwarting Ikorodu City’s attacking efforts and earning a reputation as a formidable opponent.
One of the standout moments of Faith’s career came during the round of 16 clash in the President Federation Cup at the Akure Township Stadium.
Faith’s heroics in that match, where he made crucial saves during regulation time and denied Ikorodu City in the penalty shootout, played a pivotal role in eliminating the Oga Boys from the tournament.
His match-winning display left a lasting impression on the Ikorodu City management, who were determined to bring him on board.
As Ikorodu City prepares for its debut season in the country’s top flight, the signing of James Faith is seen as a crucial move to bolster the squad. Faith is expected to be the first-choice goalkeeper and will be tasked with providing the team with the stability and confidence needed between the posts.
