Kano Pillars midfielder, Ikenna Hilary Paul has sent out sweet of honour to the club’s long standing captain, Gambo Mohammed, who he says has been a huge motivational symbol for all players at the club.
Though sports247.ng recalls that Gambo had initially spoken of his plans to leave the Kano-based club earlier this season, he finally stayed put, and Hilary says it is due to the striker’s humility.
Hilary, who was a member of the home-based Eagles squad that won bronze at the 2014 Championship of African Nations in South Africa, took to social media to celebrate Gambo, who he described as a player that deserves deep respect.
The former Shooting Stars of Ibadan and Heartland of Owerri star, who has also seen action in Malta, Spain and Portugal, stated that Gambo’s simplicityhas earned him immense levels of respect among his teammates and officials alike.
Hilary stated in his post: “Respect to This Man with so much Simplicity and Humbleness. #Skippo #Respect #Gambo#KanoPillars.”
