Following his crucial goal against Abia Warriors in week 21 of the NPFL, Offor highlighted the increased competitiveness and higher standards witnessed in the current season.

In a recent interview, Offor emphasized the significant shift from past seasons, where home victories were often predictable due to perceived biases.

He credited the current season for its unpredictability, noting the necessity for teams to work hard for home wins and the opportunity to secure points away from home.

“Unlike what we had before where you are sure of winning at home because they will manipulate a goal for you, this season has proven to be different.

You must work hard if you want to win your home match and if you do well away, you can also pick points.

Reflecting on his performance against Abia Warriors, Ikenna Offor expressed satisfaction with his contribution to securing three points for Niger Tornadoes.

Despite playing for Kwara United in the first round, Offor relished the opportunity to make an impact for Tornadoes and capitalize on the importance of the victory.

Introduced in the second half of the match, Ikenna Offor attributed his success to adhering to the coach’s instructions and seizing the opportunity to capitalize on observed weaknesses in the opposition’s defense.

” I saw the lapses while on the bench, my coach told me what to do when I go in, I played to instruction and thank God I was not wasteful,” he said.

He expressed confidence in his abilities and gratitude for the support from his teammates and coaching staff.
