Ikeja Super League: I’m Sorry For Conceding Last Minute Goal Says Reality Solomon Adeoye

Reality Academy goalie, Solomon Adeoye has tendered an unreserved apology to his fans after he conceded a last-minute goal against Flying Barton Football Club in week nine of the ongoing Ikeja Divisional Football Super League.

Reality Academy lost 0-1 at home against Flying Barton in an encounter watched by hundreds of football fans yesterday at the Alaguntan Primary School, Iyan-Ipaja, Alimosho, Lagos.

Adeoye who was busy throughout the encounter failed to communicate to his player, David Obasoge who scored his own goal in the 88th minute to give their opponents three-point in the pulsating tie.

Adeoye while chatting with our correspondent said fans should not blame Obasoge for the own goal saying that fans should not blame his player rather they should blame him for poor communication.

“It was my fault because I should have communicated to my player but I failed to do that which cost us our defeat. I am using this medium to apologize to my fans for the grievous error I committed which resulted in our defeat,” he said.

Adeoye still remained optimistic that his team would get out of relegation in the second stanza of the league and admitted that the club is not doing well on the table but was still hopeful that he would do his best to save his club from relegation.

Adeoye was adjudged man of the match despite conceding a last-minute goal. His performance was a delight to watch as he saved many scoring chances including a penalty kick that was awarded to Flying Barton in the stoke of the second half. Adeoye who is 20 years old has sharp reflexes and his positioning in the goal post may quickly rise in his football career.

Meanwhile in other centers, Mighty Sparrow suffered a 0-5 home defeat against Dosu Joseph FA, while Olusosun United recorded a 3-2 away victory against First Future Legend.

Action resumes tomorrow as Kotech would welcome Ante International, while Reality Academy would be at home against Atlas in one of the rescheduled matches on Saturday.
