Team Manager of Usefulyouth Soccer Academy, Ojo Oyebode has explained why his team suffered 8-1 in the hands of Bucknor Football Club.
Bucknor went on rampage on Thursday as they humiliated Usefulyouth Soccer Academy in the ongoing Ikeja league championship at the Igando, Alimosho, Lagos.
In his response,Oyebode commended his players for their effort and noted that his regular players were absent which cost the team’s heavy defeat.
“We should not forget one fact that we are academy and most of my regular players are writing their third term exams so we did not go the match with our best players and secondly the pitch is bad and contributed to our defeat”he said.
Asked if his team could win their remaining matches, Oyebode believed that his team would bounce back and boasting that his team would win their next game.
“Our purpose of playing the league is to expose the players and prepare them for future challenges.I must commend them for their performance in all matches and I am optimistic that we are going to win our next game,”he said.
