Smart City FC assistant coach, Tela Tom-Dollar has urged fans to have patience with the team after they played out a 1-1 draw with Kotec FC in their second game of the Ikeja Football League.
Tom-Dollar pointed out that it’s the first league experience of the players and knows it’s a gradual process.
“This is their first experience in the league,” he revealed to Sports247.
“Gradually we will be able to get to where we need to get to. It’s a gradual process.
“I believe by the end we will be able to get it right and get things the way we want.”
He went further to plead with the fans to be patient, affirming that the team will perform better in the subsequent games.
“We know we have fans that believe in us so actually we just have to say that we will get a better team, a better result next time.
“It’s just to have patience with us. We are trying to meet up. We are trying to get to where we need to be, where we belong.
“So with time, we will make things right. Definitely, we will make them happy in the next match,” he concluded
