Two illustrious members of the Ikeja Golf Club were at the weekend feted by the Lagos based Club who organised an 18 hole golf kitty in their honour.
Osun State Deputy Governor Mr. Benedict Gboyega Alabi and Mr. Ade Shonubi who is the new Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria were honoured by members of the club who thought their newly exalted positions is worth celebrating.
The event which took place at the Club’s Golf Course at 1 Works Road, G.R.A Ikeja had in attendance some of the prominent members of the club including the Club’s Captain Mr. Bola Temowo and Club’s Patron, Awa Ibrahim.
The Captain of the club Mr. Bola Temowo described the Osun State deputy Governor as a worthy son of the club and also noted that he is someone that puts his all in whatever he does.
Also speaking an elated Mr. Benedict Gboyega Alabi showered praises to the members of the club who deemed it fit to Celebrate him and Mr. Ade Shonubi. He described the feat as something amazing.
” I am proud to be a member of this great club and I am proud of my achievements. This club has contributed immensely to the development of the society and am happy to be associated with them.
” I promise to keep doing more for the society as a member of this prestigious club and also as Deputy Governor of Osun State.
