Sunday Ogunseye, coach of Alim City has heaped praises on his players for their outing which saw them concede four times without reply to May FC in Matchday two of the Ikeja Divisional League.
“I’m very happy for today because this is the first time my boys are playing on astroturf. I understand them and their game and it’s also the first time they’re really going out like this,” Sunday said
“They tried their best and can’t really do more than they can. We are really happy for the opportunity to play in the Ikeja Divisional League and I know we will do better in the other games,” he added.
The coach also hammered the need for teams to play on good pitches in other to produce more talents and better-trained players to export abroad.
“It’s good for them and that’s why we take them out to play big games like this. In some other places we’ve played in, we found out that the quality of our players really came out and they were noticed. We’re happy for this league because we want them to be seen more. We train them so that they can go far and that’s why we are in this league,” coach Sunday said.
