After a 1-1 draw against Smart City FC in the second league game of the Ikeja Divisional League, the coach of Kotec FC, Akinade Mofe had praised the performance of his young side and explained that they are very good but still young.
“We train day-in-day-out and about 70% of them are students of SS1,2&3. Because they’re young, we give them more training so that they can do more,” he said.
It was a game of Ex-internationals as both coach of Kotec FC and Smart City FC coached by Festus Odini are notable former Nigerian national team players and Akinade has expressed trust in his compatriots’ job.
“Festus was my teammates at the super eagles and at Eagles Cement. I know he will bring out the best from the boys and when I’m on the other side, then good football will come out from both sides,” Akinade said.
