Head Coach of Magboro Football Club ,Gani Abayomi Shobola has showered praises on his players who were on rampage throughout their match against Tops Academy in a a reverse fixtures of the ongoing Ikeja DFA Super League.
Magboro defeated Tops Academy 2- 0 on Tuesday morning at the MFM Prayer City football pitch to keep hope alive for super four.
When both teams clash recently in Tops Academy ground, the home defeated Magboro 1-0.On yesterday encounter, the Magboro boys who were on top of their game humbled the visiting team to revenge defeat suffer in the first leg encounter.
Shobola told sports247.ng that his victory over their opponents was well deserved saying that his hope for super four is still alive.
“The game was tough.Tops Academy came with determination but at the end of the day I thank God that my boy out them to shame.My players won the game because they to the instructions.And i must commend officials for good officiating.
“I am particularly delighted for the match because i silenced the lousy Tops Academy.Their intention was to come here to win or play draw with us but my boys were on rampage throughout the game and crushed them to defeat.Congratulations boys and keep the good work,”he said.
Shobola however said the race for top four is still alive and noted that his boys are in best form of their lives
He thanked the organisers and officials who came to officiate their home match admitted that the league has lived up to expectations in all ramification.
Hamzat Wasiu opened the goal account for Magboro in the 12th minutes to send signal to their opponents.The second was tough as both teams missed some scoring chances.Jonah Gabriel goal was Magboro needed in the 70th minutes to confirm their supremacy over their opponents.
