Ikeja DFA Super League Finally Kicks Off Across Centres

The much anticipated Ikeja Divisional Football Super League finally kicked off yesterday across the various venues in Lagos.

There was an official match that took place yesterday between R2 Finesse and Bucknor Football Club which ended in a barren draw.

The league is divided into two groups. In fixtures released by the organizers, action resumes today as Flexy welcomes Innovation at Rehabilitation sports center, Isheri-Oke, Ojodu Berger, while Ace Mariners host Awo Bioz at Airforce Base, PWD, Ikeja.

In group b, Alimcity would be a guest to Magboro at MFM prayer City, as Olusosun United welcomes Air Rovers at the Olusosun primary school, Ikeja.

In a chat with sports 247. ng yesterday, the chairman of the Ikeja Divisional Football Association IDFA, Rafiu Alagbe expressed satisfaction with the officiating and organization of the official match and urged the remaining participating teams to live up to expectations.

Commenting on the teams played yesterday, Alagbe popularly known as Aji Mokan said both teams played well without complaint from either side and particularly commended the officials for the job well done.

He however urged the participants to always abide by the rules governing the league.

“what can we say than to thank God for the commencement of the league despite various challenges? I am happy that all the teams are aware of the date of their league matches and I urge them to exhibit the spirit of sportsmanship and ensure that they shun vices that can tarnish the image of the league. I wish all the teams the best of luck in their outing,” he concluded.
