Ikeja Coaches Council Chairman, Emmanuel Adeshina has revealed that the final game day of the Ikeja DFA Super 4 competition will produce nerve cracking encounters as he urges fans massive turnout.
The Ikeja DFA Super 4 tourney will come to an end tomorrow with participating teams in Shuffle Select, Magboro FC, Bucknor FC and G-Innovation who really are out due to thier winless run set to battle it out for a final gong at the Alade Stadium.
Also a match commissioner, Emmanuel Adeshina in an exclusive interview with Sports247.ng commented on the match two as he also gave a glimpse of what fans should expect tomorrow.
“The second matchday was a very classical game day as it opened up the team fight pushing it to the last day which shows that those that qualifed really worth it.”
“Magboro FC that lost thier first game by two goals to nothing were able to win 3-0 against Shuffle Select who won thier first game by 3-0 and now Bucknor who had a golden opportunity to win and get six points were unable to defeat G-Innovation which means that final day, we have teams that have four points, three points and one point so it’s definitely going to be a classical for the four of them.”
Addressing issues of resentment between coaches and match officials, the match commissioner stated that the situation will be tackled and proper measures put in place to avoid such scenario in the future.
“Our coaches in this country, we have a syndrome of winning at all cost issue and once things are not going the way we want it, we will all believe that referees are wrong and that’s a big problem.”
“We will try to control and teach them and I believe that they will change because there is room for improvement,” he assured.
“The coach that was red-carded in the game between Magboro FC and Shuffle Select is not from my council but notwithstanding, I will try and get across to the secretary of his own council to warn and correct him especially when on the field of play, they should apply total discipline because we are leaders and teachers to upcoming players.”
“They look at us as role models so what are we teaching them if at the end of the day we are not being upright.
The final game day – “I’m expecting total football from the two matches likewise the female session and I’m inviting everyone to come out in large numbers to see the beautiful game of football.”
Meanwhile, Dannaz FC Ladies will also be in action against Rainery Ladies at the Alade Stadium tomorrow.
