Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho is close to finalizing a move to Sevilla after agreeing to personal terms with the La Liga club.
The 27-year-old, who recently became a free agent after his contract with Leicester City expired, is set to join the Rojiblancos in a high-profile transfer.
The agreement comes after several clubs, including Nottingham Forest, Ipswich Town, Aston Villa, Trabzonspor, and Galatasaray, expressed interest in the striker.
However, Sevilla’s offer appears to have been the most appealing to Iheanacho, who spent seven years at Leicester City after joining from Manchester City in 2017.
During his tenure at Leicester, Iheanacho made 232 appearances and scored 61 goals. Known for his ability to perform in very important moments, he became a key player for the Foxes.
With his move to Sevilla, Iheanacho aims to bring his experience and goal-scoring prowess to the Spanish side as they look to strengthen their attacking options for the upcoming season
The official announcement is expected soon, marking a significant step in Iheanacho’s career as he transitions to one of Spain’s top football clubs.
